Child Abuse Prevention
Child abuse can affect every community. Knowing how to respond to a case of child abuse could make the difference in saving a life. This training prepares you how to respond to the physical, sexual, and emotional signs of abuse and know what your responsibilities are as a childcare provider. This training meets licensing requirements for the child abuse course required by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). Child Abuse Training for Child Care Providers is required by Rules 5101:2-12-27 (centers), 5101:2-13-27 (Type A homes), Rule 5101:2-14-13 (Type B homes) and 5101:2-14-14 (Emergency Caregivers). This course is presented by police officers, psychologists and nurses who have years of experience with enforcing and caring for children who have been victim of abuse.
Group sessions are available and may be conducted at your location.
